Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. — RUTLAND — Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Every year, one in four deaths are caused by heart disease. The good news? Heart disease can often be prevented when people make healthy choices and manage their health conditions.
Join the cardiology experts at the Rutland Heart Center, a department of Rutland Regional Medical Center as they present, “How to Avoid Heart Failure.” The panel of experts will include Bartholomew Bonazinga, MD, FACC; Michael Robertello, MD, FACC, FACP, FCCP, Stanley Shapiro, MD, FACC, FASNC and Laura Cohen, ACNP, ANP-BC. They will discuss the risks of heart failure, how to avoid them and ways to live a heart healthy lifestyle. An educational video, “What is Heart Failure” will be shown and followed by time for questions and answers.
The session will take place on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 6-8 p.m. at the CVPS/Leahy Community Health Education Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center at 160 Allen Street.
