Sunday, Feb. 28 at12:30 p.m. — GRANVILLE, N.Y. — Poultney Area St. David’s Society is pleased to announce its 28th Annual St. David’s Day Gathering of the Clans dinner event will feature poetry of the late William Glyn “Billy G” Williams, a member of Poultney Area St. David’s Society. Selections of “Billy G’s” poetry from “Green Mountains, Blue Skies and An Old Black Dog” as well as unpublished poems may be read by Joel Williams, “Billy G’s” son.
Joel Williams, a small town radio broadcaster, is a second generation American of a long line of Welsh (and Italian) heritages, and Christian, all of which he is proud. Having served three years in the United States Army Infantry as a medical corpsman after graduation from Poultney High School, he has worked at several local radio stations and owned the Poultney Area Newsfrom 1988 to 1996. Williams and his wife, Jane Davis, have three children and live in East Poultney (old Poultney).
The St. David’s Day celebration event will be held Sunday, Feb. 28 at 12:30 p.m. at A.J.’s restaurant, Quaker Street, Granville, N. Y. A waited dinner event, pre-paid pre-registration is required to the St. David’s Society by Sunday, Feb. 21. All are welcome.
