KES students are about half way through the season of skiing as part of education.

KILLINGTON — The Killington Elementary School Trailblazers’ program is about half way through its season of nine weeks skiing and riding, and the students continue learning to love this winter sport, KES reported recently in its newsletter.

“The tenacity of many volunteers does not fail to make sure KES students are equipped with hard goods and appropriate instruction and supervision. Many thanks go to Ray Rice and Andrew Mckenna for fitting skis and boots on a moment’s notice so that all of our students were ready to ski.  Also, many thank yous to Rebecca Claffey, hard goods sherpa, Killington/KES liaison Eunice MacDonald Rice, Adaptive Ski and Sports, Killington Ski Resort and Leslie Guth, Surefoot, Peak Performance, Skiology, and all of our committed faculty, staff, and volunteers for continuing to support this worthwhile program,” KES organizers stated in the newsletter.
