Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. — LUDLOW — “The Imitation Game” will be FOLA’s (Friends of Ludlow Auditorium) next movie in the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, “The Imitation Game” portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain’s top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.

“The Imitation Game” is a 2014 historical drama thriller film directed by Morten Tyldum, with a screenplay by Graham Moore loosely based on the biography “Alan Turing: The Enigma by Andrew Hodges.” It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as real-life British cryptanalyst Alan Turing, who decrypted German intelligence codes for the British government during World War II.

“The Imitation Game” was a commercial and critical success. By April 2015, it had grossed over $227 million worldwide against a $14 million production budget, making it the highest-grossing independent film of 2014.
