Project 240 presents Republican Primary Debate with host David Redlawsk
Saturday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. — RUTLAND — The Paramount Theatre and Castleton University present a broadcast of the Republican Primary Debate as part of the 14-month series, “Project 240: Celebrating the American Experience” on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Paramount Theatre.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with the event set for an 8 p.m. start.
Hosted by David Redlawsk, director of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University and co-author of the recent “The Positive Case for Negative Campaigning,” the evening kicks off with introductory remarks and analysis by Redlawsk, followed by a town hall-style questions and answer period immediately before the debate commences at 9 p.m. Following the debate, Redlawsk will stay and engage the audience about the evening’s activity.
Fresh from a sabbatical in Iowa, Redlawsk will provide unique insight from the Iowa Caucuses.
Audience members will watch the debate, which airs on ABC, live on the Paramount Theatre’s HD large-screen projection system. The Republican Debate, sponsored by ABC News, IJReview.com and WMUR, will be broadcast from Manchester, N.H. and moderated by ABC World News Tonight anchors David Muir and Martha Raddatz.
This event, and all but two of the remaining 12, are free of charge and open to the public. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from Roots the Restaurant.
