Saturday, Feb. 6 — RUTLAND — The Mount Saint Joseph Academy Parents and Friends Club will host the first ever “Mardi Gras Mingle” at the Southside Steakhouse on Feb. 6. The event will include dancing with a DJ, as well as a cash raffle. All proceeds will be used to help make an MSJ education affordable for today’s students.
The cost of a ticket is $50, which admits two people to the dance and places participants in the running to win a cash prize. The cash raffle will have one $250 winner, and a grand prize of $2,000. A minimum of 125 tickets must be sold for the raffle to be held; the “mingle” will be held regardless.
This event is made possible due to the generosity of two alums: Wally Sabotka, the owner of Southside Steakhouse, and Joe Lorman, who is providing the DJ services.
Tickets are available through any MSJ family or at the Main Office of Mount St. Joseph during the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
