Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m. — RUTLAND — Chaffee Downtown hosts an oil painting workshop with local artist Ann McFarren on three Wednesdays: Jan. 20, Feb. 3 and Feb 17 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. each night. The workshop will be held at Chaffee Downtown, 75 Merchants Row, Rutland. This three-part painting class will teach oil painting techniques. Participants will complete their own winter sugar house landscape. Paints, medium, smocks, and canvas will be provided. Participants are asked to bring their own paint brushes. Suggested brushes are #4 or #6 flat bristle, #2 or #4 small flat bristle fan brush, and #2 synthetic round point.
