Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. — CASTLETON — Friends of Castleton Library present nationally renowned author, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, novelist, author of “Mark Twain: A Life” and co-author of the number one New York Times bestseller “Flags of Our Fathers” — and Castleton resident — Ron Powers with a program at the Castleton Free Library. Powers will present the program “Sam Clemens Got Me My First Job: How Mark Twain Rescued ‘English’ From the English and Gave America Its Voice.” The program will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the Castleton Free Library.
