LUDLOW — The Boot Pro in Ludlow purchased a fully automated, 2015 Wintersteiger Mercury ski/snowboard tuning machine made in Austria this fall and it is up and reason for the season. It is one of only 24 like it in the country!

The machine has both a stone grinder and edger integrating the most advanced computer technology with state-of-the-art mechanical components. It has the capability to custom tailor the base structure of a ski as well as set edge angles to minutely specific degrees.

The machine will be run by the shop’s skilled technicians who collectively have over 70 years of experience in ski tuning! They’re eager to show their customers the difference this new technology brings to their skiing enjoyment and the competitive advantage it represents to the ski racing community.

Owners Shon and Alex Racicot opened The Boot Pro in 2008. With the arrival of The Mercury at The Boot Pro the Racicots hope to elevated ski tuning to world-class levels right at the base of Okemo. For more information visit: www.thebootpro.net.
