6th Annual Woodstock Vermont Film Series presents “The Last Waltz”

Saturday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m. — WOODSTOCK — The 6th Annual Woodstock Vermont Film Series at the Billings Farm & Museum will feature the award-winning documentary “The Last Waltz” on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 3 and 5:30 p.m.

Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976 was the day one of the most momentous events in music history took place. After 16 years of touring, The Band gave a farewell concert at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, bringing along some of their friends, influences, and collaborators. This epic documentary by Martin Scorsese was released two years later and restored by Scorsese and producer Robbie Robertson in 2005.
