Saturday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. — LUDLOW — The Book Nook will be hosting Vermont author Howard Frank Mosher on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28. He will be in the store from 2 to 4 p.m. chatting with customers and signing books, including his latest, “God’s Kingdom.”
Howard Frank Mosher is the author of twelve novels and a travel memoir. Four of his novels, “Northern Borders,” “Disappearances,” “A Stranger in the Kingdom,” and “Where the Rivers Flow North” have been made into acclaimed feature movies by the Vermont independent filmmaker Jay Craven.
Small Business Saturday serves as the ceremonial kickoff to the holiday shopping season for small businesses across the United States. It is a day dedicated to supporting the local businesses that help to create jobs, boost the economy, and preserve neighborhoods. Hundreds of independent bookstores across the country will be hosting local authors this Nov. 28, Small Business Saturday, thanks to a movement called Indies First, encouraging authors to give back some of the support that independent bookstores have traditionally given to authors.
The Book Nook is located at 136 Main Street in Ludlow. Copies of “God’s Kingdom” will be available for sale.
