Nov. 27-28 — POULTNEY — A Poultney tradition for close to 30 years, the Poultney Christmas Fair is a great place to start holiday shopping. It’s held at the Poultney High School Auditorium on East Main Street, Poultney on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 27 and 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Admission is free. Over 50 vendors will be offering hand-crafted items like fabrics, wood, glass, art, paintings, jewelry, and soap. Country cooks offer home baked goods including gluten free breads, pies, cookies, fudge, prepared foods and cider donuts. Gourmet specialty foods include maple syrup, sugar, and other maple products from dressings to pepper; over 100 varieties of jams and jellies; relishes; salsas; marinades;and honey. Balsam wreaths and other décor will be made on site. Fresh produce will include apples, Brussels sprouts, and potatoes. For those friends away, there are give boxes pre-made, or make-your-own.
