Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. — BRIDGEWATER — The Bridgewater Historical Society’s annual meeting will be held Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at the old brick schoolhouse, 12 North Bridgewater Road. A short meeting with the election of officers and Board members precedes a 6:30 p.m. presentation with Helen Mango, professor of geology and chemistry at Castleton University with “700 Million Years of Mountain Building A Geological History,” describing the formation of the Adirondacks, the Green Mountains, the Taconics, and how they all fit together. It’s free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
