Thursday, Nov. 26 — On the morning of Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26, the towns of Killington and Woodstock offer charity benefitted turkey trot 5K events.
In Killington, join the 5th annual Killington 5K Turkey Trot starting at 9:30 a.m. from JAX Food and Games on Killington Road. Register in advance online at killingtonturkeytrot.com for $20; or on race day at 9 a.m. for $25. Proceeds benefit local charities. In Woodstock, the 9th annual Zack’s Place Turkey trot is a 5K walk or run for people that want to do something meaningful with their families on Thanksgiving Day to support a good cause. The race is handicap accessible around the historic Village of Woodstock, starting and finishing at Woodstock Elementary School. Everyone who registers receives a long-sleeve wick-away t-shirt. There are prizes for the top finishers in each age group, plus entertainment and refreshments. Register for this event at zacksplacevt.org/turkey_trot.php.
