RUTLAND — Chaffee Art Center’s annual Holiday Boutique opened Nov. 19 at the Chaffee Art Center, 16 S. Main Street, Rutland.
“This exhibit marks the end of another great year for the Chaffee; a year during which our board, members and staff have worked tirelessly to continue to broaden the Chaffee Art Center’s presence in our Rutland Community,” stated Margaret Barros, Executive Director. Gallery three will be hung during the holiday exhibit. The public is welcome to join and enjoy the work of juried artists in gallery one and two and to view a photo display of pictures depicting the renovations completed under the Save America’s Treasures Grant. The grant was successfully closed.
Visit chaffeeartcenter.org for guidelines and an entry form to be part of the gingerbread cookie house contest. This year’s theme is storybook fantasy and each house will have its own distinct charm. The public is invited to view and vote on their favorite house from Dec. 4-17. Awards for the contest will be shared Friday, Dec. 18, during Chaffee’s cocoa, cookie, wine and cheese reception being held from 4 to 6 p.m.
In conjunction, the public can shop the Holiday Boutique which covers the art center walls and gift shop. The gallery is open from 12 to 6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 12 to 4 p.m. Saturdays. For info, call 802-775-0356 or email info@chaffeeartcenter.org.
