On Nov. 16, at approximately 6:29 p.m., Vermont State Police in Royalton were notified of an overdue deer hunter in Rochester, Vt. Emerson was said to be hunting alone along Bingo Road in Rochester, Vt., and was described as 5’10” tall, 150 pounds, with blue eyes and grey hair. Emerson does not hear well and can become confused, the caller told police.

Emerson went into the woods at approximately 9:30-10 a.m. Monday morning but never returned to his hunting camp on Bingo Road in the afternoon as expected.
