RE/MAX real estate data indicates strong market

New England housing report for September released

The residential market in New England remained strong through September 2015, with sales up 15 percent and pending sales up 14 percent over September 2014, according to RE/MAX INTEGRA’s “New England September Monthly Housing Report.” Month-over-month, the market followed traditional seasonal trends with a 10.7 percent decrease in sales and slight decrease in median price.

“We’ve seen steady improvement over the 2014 market since May of this year,” said Dan Breault, EVP/Regional Director of RE/MAX INTEGRA, New England. “While we’re seeing the market slow down, as it typically does after the busy summer season, it’s encouraging to see continued year-over-year growth as we move into the fall.”

New Hampshire led this growth with an impressive 20.7 percent increase in transactions year-over-year and a median price increase of seven percent, while average days on market in the state decreased by 12.5 percent. Pending sales were up 1.7 percent year-over-year.
