CHESTER—On Oct. 1 GreenLeaf Cafe is open for business Thursday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 103 Artisan Marketplace in Chester, Vt., offering homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. Culinary wizard Jesse Holmes lives in Chester and has worked in the restaurant industry in the Okemo Valley for over 20 years. She brings to the cafe her passion for creating food, which started as soon as she could stand at the table to help her great-grandmother and great-aunts prepare meals, pastries and desserts, that are often the recipes she uses today. Fresh, local ingredients combined with creativity and flair create a feast for the eye and palate.

Please note the cafe will be closed Nov. 5-8, but will back for regular hours the following week.
