CCV to offer free QuickBooks workshop in Rutland

Saturday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m. — RUTLAND — This fall, the Community College of Vermont will hold a free QuickBooks Workshop at its Rutland Academic Center. This five-week workshop will be held on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and will run from Oct. 17 to Nov. 14. The five classes are part of a series designed to prepare participants to use the QuickBooks program to enter checks, reconcile bank accounts, run and read reports, and more. Charlene Seward, a local Certified Public Accountant and Advanced Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, will teach the series.

Participants will not need a financial accounting background, but they should have a basic understanding of how a business works. This is a great opportunity for bookkeepers, small business owners, and employees looking to develop important skills and add value to their company.

CCV-Rutland is located at 60 West Street, Rutland. Interested participants should complete a workforce education application online at  https://apply.ccv.edu/career/ and enter “QuickBooks” as the enrollment code.
