Adventure Exchange offers used gear, consignment

By Donald Dill

Marji Graf, CEO of Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomes Kelsey Nassetta of The Adventure Exchange to the Chamber. Pictured (l-r): Marji Graf, Louis Nassetta (dad), Kelsey Nassetta, Kimberly Nassetta (mom), Ann Nolan (grandmother), Mike Sattler, Kyle Nassetta (brother), and Cora McCandless.

LUDLOW — Kelsey Nassetta of the Adventure Exchange is a big fan of giving second chances to the best gear and equipment she can find. That way, she can offer gently loved and affordable gear to equip the adventurer in everyone. Being “outdoorsy” can be costly, admits Nassetta, so to help solve that problem, she is offering adventurers of all kinds to exchange their gear that’s lying around and make some money for new threads!

The Adventure Exchange officially opened Sept. 18 and is located at 1 Lamere Square in Ludlow.

Adventure Exchange is currently accepting men’s, women’s, and children’s outdoor adventure winter gear and apparel suited for hiking, mountaineering, camping, skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, trail running, snowmobiling, and biking. Items must be clean, gently used or new, and have all the necessary parts to be in good working condition.

The Adventure Exchange will determine the price of each item based on condition, demand, and quality. Consigners will receive 60 percent of the selling price for any item sold over $100, and 50 percent of the selling price for any item sold at $99 or under. If the item has not sold within 30 days, Adventure Exchange reserves the right to discount it 10 percent, and an additional 10 percent after 60 days.
