Saturday, Oct. 3 — WEST WINDSOR — Join Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society for a day full of fun and celebration in West Windsor on Saturday, Oct. 3 for the fall festival and 5K-9.
The day will kick off with the 4th annual 5K-9 and 1-mile fun run, which has quickly become Lucy Mac’s second largest fundraiser of the year. Runners or walkers can participate in a timed 5K run or walk through scenic West Windsor. The course begins and ends at Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society. Or register for the 1-mile fun run. All ages and abilities are welcome, as are dogs. Registration and check-in is from 9 to 10 a.m.; the fun run begins at 10 a.m.; the 5K-9 begins at 10:30 a.m. Every registrant that earns $100 or more in sponsorship will receive a free race day t-shirt.
The fall festival will include an open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and includes delicious food featuring Goodman’s Brick Oven Pizza, hot dogs and more; and the annual Blessing of the Animals at 1 p.m. There will be a bouncy house, vendors, animals for adoption, and more.
