Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. — HUBBARDTON — Head to the Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site on Sunday, Sept. 27, for a night viewing the total lunar eclipse, as well as the blood moon and harvest moon. The event runs from 8 to 11 p.m. Experienced Green Mountain Alliance of Amateur Astronomers moon gazers share their equipment and knowledge for this total lunar eclipse, conditions in the night sky permitting. If inclement weather, inside illustrated program. Call 902-273-2282 to confirm. If you like, you can bring your own binoculars, flashlights, and blankets. They provide the marshmallows. The Hubbardton Battlefield, with no modern light pollution and sweeping mountain views, is a great spot to observe the night sky. The program is free and open to the public.
