Chaffee reception officially opens “Love of Fantasy” exhibit

“Peaceable Kingdom” features colored pencil on Arches archival paper, created by Joan Curtis, one of the four Vermont artists whose work is part of Chaffee’s exhibit, “Love of Fantasy.”

Friday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m.—On Sept. 9, the Chaffee Downtown opened the “Love of Fantasy” exhibit. The exhibit runs through Oct. 31, with an opening reception being held Friday, Sept. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.

“Love of Fantasy” features two- and three- dimensional paintings and multi-media constructions. Each piece illustrates the fantasies unfolded to the artists on their journey to create. The exhibit features the work of four Vermont artists: Jim Abatiell, Joan Curtis, Robert Hooker and Mark Horwedel.
