Sept. 25-27—CASTLETON—Castleton University welcomes all students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to join as the university hosts its annual Homecoming & Family Weekend.
Running from Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 27, guests of all ages are invited to come enjoy a weekend full of family activities and events, including a 5K Glow Run, theater production, golf tournament, wagon rides, athletic games, raffles and more. Homecoming weekend will kick off at 4 p.m. on Friday with family activities and art exhibits available throughout the day.
On Saturday the Castleton Spartan football team will take the field for their first home game of the season as they take on Alfred State University at 12 p.m. Prior to the game, guests are welcomed to participate in tailgating activities–including the Family Fun Zone–in the lot adjacent to Spartan Stadium.
Other events throughout the day include the Castleton Scholar Celebration, displaying student work from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a Castleton Theater Department production of “August: Osage County,” beginning at 7 p.m.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday with additional sporting events, theater productions and art exhibits, along with a rubber ducky race and annual golf tournament.
