Love or deception? Belle Starr (Memory Apata) and the infamous Jesse James (Aaron Michael Hodge) perform in “Jesse and the Bandit Queen.” A Bonnie and Clyde-like couple create havoc on the stage in Woodstock.
Sept. 18-20 — WOODSTOCK — Actors Memory Apata and Aaron Michael Hodge return the stage at Woodstock’s Little Theater for the second weekend of BarnArts Center for the Arts presentation of “Jesse and the Bandit Queen.” This play is an exciting and thoughtful exploration of two of the American Wild West’s dramatic characters, Jesse James (Hodge) and Belle Starr (Apata), outlaws who dream of also being heroes as they tangle with their own fantastical myths and less-charming realities. If you missed opening weekend, no worries! The show is being performed Friday and Saturday, Sept. 18 and 19 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 20 is the final performance at 5:30 p.m. Reserve tickets at www.barnarts.org.
The Little Theater is located at 54 River Street, Woodstock. For more info, email info@barnarts.org or call 802-234-1645.
