LUDLOW — The staff and volunteers at Black River Good Neighbor Services are again gearing up for their annual Stick Season Social and silent auction scheduled for Nov. 7. The event will be held again at Sam’s Steakhouse on Route 103 South in Ludlow. Right now the planners are focusing on the silent auction and raffle, which will have dozens of items up for bid. Last year, there were over 120 items between the silent auction, the raffle, and the door prizes, and this year the expectation is just as good. However, the Social Committee needs merchandise to auction or raffle; they are seeking help from the community to donate items for the event. BRGNS is a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization; all donations are tax deductible. Donors will be recognized in during the evening’s festivities, both orally and in print. Businesses that wish to become sponsors of the event will also be recognized.
