Deer crossing leads car to crash through cemetery

HANCOCK — On Aug. 4, police responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 125 in Hancock. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Collin Buker, age 24 from Rochester, was traveling west on Route 125 when a deer crossed the road in front of him causing him to go off the right side of the road and crash through a cemetery, police reported. Buker’s 2006 Subaru Impreza travelled over approximately six gravestones, through the fence at the other end and into a tree. Buker was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.
