Ottauquechee Natural Resources Conservation District receives Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence at State House on June 30, 2015.
The award was given for ONRCD’s River Roadshow, a mobile education program which uses a stream table to demonstrate how rivers behave during flood events. The program is in its fourth year and has reached over 8000 people at public events and spent over 300 days in schools for their river studies program.
