Thursday, July 16 at 7 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN — Fair Haven Concerts in the Park will host their sixth of 10 concerts on Thursday, July 16 at 7 p.m. This week they welcome the big band sound of Enerjazz to the park. The band made its first public appearance on the gazebo on the Fair Haven green in 2008. Since then Enerjazz has played for both public and private audiences.
This band includes five trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, a guitar, a bass, a drummer, a keyboard player, as well as vocalists. Audience members can expect to hear melodies from such well known band leaders as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Glenn Miller, to name a few. More modern tunes are included in the set lists, so there is music for everyone to enjoy.
This concert also includes free ice cream cone night. In addition, there will be also hot dogs, popcorn, sodas and water available for purchase.
Concerts begin at 7 p.m. Door prizes are drawn during intermission. Door prizes are generously donated by local businesses. Prizes will be awarded for both youth and adults.
Concerts go on rain or shine. The rain location is the Baptist Church at the south end of the park.
