RUTLAND — Award-winning Rutland Youth Theatre presents “Romeo and Juliet” July 21 through Aug. 2 as a traveling troupe.
Produced by Saskia Hagen Groom and directed by Amberly Soto, this is Shakespeare’s famous tragedy about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. Today, the title characters are regarded as archetypal young lovers.
All shows are performed outdoors on greens and fields, with rain locations nearby. Bring a blanket or chair!

Aug. 2, 2 p.m. “On The Bluff” at Giorgetti Park, Rutland.
This is a free event (donations accepted). All shows are open to the public. Each show will feature Rutland Youth Theatre’s famous bake sale with proceeds going to support RYT’s theatrical endeavors.
