Friday, July 3 — KILLINGTON — Killington Resort, a four season destination, kicked off its 2015 summer season on Friday, June 26 with a host of new attractions at the Snowshed Adventure Center, ranging from Segway tours to a four-story ropes course, complemented by tried-and-true summer alpine activities like hiking, mountain biking and disc golf.
On Friday, July 3, Killington will host its 10th Annual United Way Day to kick off this holiday weekend. The United Way of Rutland County will receive a $10 donation from the sale of every Adventure Center Pass, round of golf and mountain bike rental. Free add-ons will also be included with purchases on United Way Day. Adventure Center Passes will receive a complementary round-trip ride on the K-1 Express Gondola ($15 value), and mountain bike rentals will receive free trail and lift access ($49 value).
“For the tenth consecutive year we are marking the start of summer at Killington with a benefit for the United Way of Rutland County, and by moving this year’s effort from opening day to a holiday weekend, we hope to surpass all previous fundraising totals,” says Rob Megnin, Killington’s director of sales and marketing. “Killington makes an effort to support our community all year, and we encourage our guests to make a donation and take advantage of a day filled summer adventures or a relaxing day of golf.”
Killington will also donate $10 from every Summer Season Pass purchased on Friday, July 3 to the United Way of Rutland County. Disc Golf Season Passes are $59, K-1 Scenic Gondola Passes are $49, Mountain Bike Season Passes are $189, and Killington Golf Course Memberships are $399 for adults and $159 for ages 29 and under.

The Peak Lodge will be open daily this summer on Killington Peak with fresh local fare and the K-1 Express Gondola, Vermont’s highest life, will serve hikers, bikers and offer scenic rides. New for summer 2015, the Snowshed Express Quad will also spin daily, after the positive response to weekend service last summer.
Additional attractions at the Snowshed Adventure Center include a 5,000 square foot maze, a 1,200’ Skyeride soaring 200’ above Snowshed Pond, ATV/UTV rentals, Roaring Brook Mining where kids pan for gold and other gems. New amenities in the Snowshed Lodge include a multi-station food court, expanded mountain bike and retail shop and BOGS hiking center. Kayak and stand up paddleboard (SUP) rentals will also be available this summer.
The Beast Mountain Coaster, Killington’s new flagship thrill ride is under and is expected to open to the public by the end of July. All other attractions will be operational during this weekend.
