Monday, July 6 at 11 a.m. — LUDLOW — The Friends of the Library will host a tea at the Fletcher Memorial Library on Monday, July 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is opportunity for people enjoy a light snack while learning about the Friends and provide input on events and activities that the Friends support and organize at the library.
The Friends of Library is a volunteer organization that works to help support the mission of the Fletcher Memorial Library in Ludlow. The group raised and donated over $2,500 in 2014.
In addition to financial support, the Friends sponsored programs of interest to the community such as the World War I event at the Ludlow Auditorium in October that included students from the Ludlow Elementary School and Black River Middle School as well as regular book discussions, book/movie discussions during the winter months, and other community events like a cake decorating session with local cake master Irene Maston of Irene’s cakes by design.
Scott Stearns, current President of the Friends of the Library, and other members of the Friends of the Library will be at the Fletcher Memorial Library located at 88 Main Street in Ludlow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. There will be light refreshments served (it is a tea after all). Bring your questions, bring your ideas and bring your passions and discuss them with the Friends and help Fletcher Memorial Library continue its great tradition as “a jewel within our community.”
