July 5-7 — RUTLAND — Chaffee Art Center offers a plain air workshop with Cynthia Rosen from Friday, July 5 through Sunday, July 7. Classes run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. This workshop will provide instruction on location in three different sites in beautiful Vermont. Students will create plein air paintings from life in the “out-of-doors” or “in fresh air.” The focus will be on meeting people at their own skill level and stylistic preference (from representational to abstract) while providing individualized instruction in the natural landscape. Each day students will produce a minimum of one quick study and one completed.
Students will be required to provide their own transportation, lunch and supplies.The class fee is $250 or $225 for Chaffee members. Advance registration is required.
