Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. — BRANDON — The Northern Third Piano Quartet returns to Brandon Music to perform a powerful musical program on Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. This program includes solo and duo music of Mozart, Shostakovich, the U.S. premiere of Middlebury composer Jorge Martin’s “Don’t Know Yet,” and Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-Flat Major, Op. 47, one of the greatest works in the piano quartet repertoire.
The Northern Third Piano Quartet, with member’s violinist Sofia Hirsch, violist Elizabeth Reid, cellist John Dunlop and pianist Alison Bruce Cerutti perform throughout Vermont to both audience and critical acclaim. Recent venues include Norwich University and the Barre Opera House. The ensemble has been noted for its strength of ensemble playing and emotive musicality, offering audiences a showcase of Vermont’s remarkable talent.
