Sunday, June 14 — RUTLAND — The Vermont Center For Dance Education will present an original version of “Cinderella,” a full-length ballet based on the story of the servant girl turned princess, on Sunday, June 14 at the Paramount Theatre. The original choreography created by the school faculty will be enhanced by beautiful scenery, including a life-size pumpkin carriage and colorful backdrops. Several of the dazzling costumes and accessories were designed and custom-made by school director Stefania Nardi.
Over 50 local students will perform in the show. In particular the roles of Cinderella and the prince will be danced by Kirsten Werner and Luke Turner, while Serena Clapp-Clark will work her magic as the Fairy Godmother. Charlotte Kearns will perform as the Stepmother and the Stepsisters’ roles will be portrayed by Carley Lund and Sarah Coker.
Performances will take place on Sunday, June 14 at the Paramount Theatre at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 – $25 for adults, and $15 for seniors and children under 12 and can be purchased online at paramountvt.org, by phone at 802-775-0903 and at the Box Office.
