Tuesday, June 16 at 8 p.m. — RUTLAND — The Paramount Theatre will be broadcasting, free of charge, the first two matches of this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Tournament. The first broadcast was shown on Monday, June 8, USA v. Australia. The second match will be broadcast on Tuesday, June 16, USA v. Nigeria at 8 p.m.
Eric Mallette, Programming Director commented, “We are continuing to capitalize on our new expanded exhibition system with our Sports Live in HD series. The turnouts for the men’s tournament were amazing with families and lots of young fans in the theatre. There is nothing quite like seeing these games in HD on our nearly 1,000 square foot screen. It is a totally unique community experience and we are so proud to be able to offer it free of charge!”
