The Birch Ridge Cup Point System

birchridgeinnGreenMtnNationalGolf

KILLINGTON- Green Mountain National is excited to introduce the Birch Ridge Cup to our Thursday Night Twilight League for the 2015 golf season, sponsored by Bill Vines & Mary Furlong of the Birch Ridge Inn.

Loosely based on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup, The Birch Ridge Cup will be a season long competition for Twilight League players, who will accumulate points over the course of the entire summer. The more times a player joins us, the better chance they have of getting the most Birch Ridge Cup points.

Points will be awarded each week to members of the Top 3 teams, for proximity challenges, attendance, and by random draw which will include a weekly gift certificate to the Birch Ridge Inn.

The Birch Ridge Cup Champion will have their name engraved on the Birch Ridge Cup and will receive their choice of either a cocktail reception for themselves and up to 24 of their friends in the Great Room of the Birch Ridge Inn or dinner for 6 at the Birch Ridge Inn’s restaurant.**

The Birch Ridge Cup competition will run from May 14 – September 24.

Rescheduled or “special” Twilight League nights may or may not be eligible for Birch Ridge Cup points at the committee’s discretion and that decision will be announced before play.

Players are eligible to attain points from more than one contest. (e.g. The 1st Place Captain also wins Closest to the pin on Hole #5 and gets randomly drawn would get 75 + 50 + 50 = 175 pts.)

The committee reserves the right to add or subtract “point games” over the course of the season.

All decisions of the committee regarding points, ties, playoffs, and protests are final.

*GMNGC employees with a course handicap of 10 or less from appropriate tees are not eligible.

*Birch Ridge Inn employees are not eligible.

**The Birch Ridge Cup Champion’s cocktail party includes hors d’oeuvres and 2 drinks per person (wine, beer, or well cocktails) for up to 25 people.  Should the Birch Ridge Cup Champion choose the dinner instead, it includes Starter, Entrée and Dessert for up to 6 people.  Some restrictions apply.

My arms drop from my shoulders, aching pain, and I can feel the tingle all the way down to my fingertips.…
