Saturday, May 30 — RUTLAND — Saturday, May 30 at 6 p.m. is the submission deadline for the annual amateur photographers photo contest. This year, photographers were asked to capture what they see as love, it could feature people, wildlife, or landscapes. All submissions must fit the theme of “images of love.”
All are welcome to submit up to three 8 inch x 10 inch frameless original photographs for a $10 entry fee per person. The Chaffee Art Center will frame and display the photographs at the Chaffee Art Center at 16 South Main Street in Rutland from June 12 to July 25. All photographs will be for sale for $40 with 50 percent going to the artist.
Prizes will be awarded for Judges Pick, Best in Show, and People’s Choice. Submission forms may be picked up at Chaffee Art Center or Chaffee Downtown, or downloaded from Chaffee’s website www.chaffeeartcenter.org.
Submissions may be delivered in person to either Chaffee location or mailed to the Chaffee Art Center, PO Box 1447, Rutland, VT 05701, Attn: Photo Contest.
