RUTLAND — Rutland Regional Medical Center honored 215 employees for dedicated service and accomplishments recently at its Annual Employee Awards Banquet. The 215 employees have given 3,385 years of collective service to Rutland Regional.

“I extend my sincere gratitude to these outstanding employees on their service, dedication and commitment to the Rutland Regional Medical Center community. Through their hard work and years of service, the hospital continues to grow and provide our patients with the highest quality care. I am honored to recognize each and every one of them for their excellence and exceptional performance day in and day out,” said Tom Huebner, President and CEO.
Employees were recognized for their years of service ranging from 5 to 45 years. In addition, the Clinical and Non-Clinical Employees were also announced, along with six recipients of the Service Excellence Award. The Employees of the Year are both selected from a pool of past year Employee of the Quarter recipients and Service Excellence Award winners are chosen from those honored for years of service.
The Clinical Employee of the Year Award was presented to Colette Myhre, Clinical Manager of Endoscopy. The Non-Clinical Employee of the Year Award was presented to Helen Poro, Shipper/Receiver in Materials Management.

Service Excellence Awards were presented to: Donna Hammond, RN, Medical Oncology Unit – 35 years of service; Wanda Stiles, Environmental Services – 25 years of service; Donna Manfredi, Mailroom – 15 years of service; Jeffrey Lavoie, Surgical Care Unit – 10 years of service; Jeremy Carrara, Telecommunications and Judith Quesnel, Rutland Women’s Health – 5 years of service.
Rutland Regional’s 40-year recipients were also recognized for their years of service. They include: Irene Dazzi, Health Information; Nicole Duhamel, Nursing Excellence; Cheryl Hackett, Hematology; Christine Houston, Ultrasound; Marsha Jones, Patient Accounting; Maureen Paradee, Digestive Services; Jeannie Raiche, Medical Oncology Unit; and Shirley Robinson, Emergency Department.
Maryann McDonough of Cardiac Rehabilitation was the only 45-year recipient.

Rutland Regional Medical Center founded in 1896, is the second largest health care facility in Vermont with a medical staff of 207 physicians trained in 36 specialty areas.
