OVGC men’s league results, May 12

LUDLOW–It was a match play format for the Okemo Valley Golf Club Men’s League on May 12. Engle & Voelkers Realty, made up of Pat McLaughlin, Bob Higgins, Larry Plumb and Chuck Sweetman, thumped UBS of Rutland and won 25.5 holes of the available 36 holes to grab first place for the night. Second place went to M&M Excavating as Mark Griffin, Mike O’Neil, Bob Cook and Tim Faulkner won 19.5 holes. Finishing third for the night was Honey Dew Man. Dave Higley, Peter Girouard, Jack Koponen and Bill Higgins won 19.5 holes. Closest to the pin winners were Bob Cook on the 4th and Mike O’Neil on the 8th hole.

1st: Engel & Voelkers Realty 25.5 holes won/15 pts.

2nd: M&M Excavating 19.5 holes won/13 pts.

3rd: Honey Dew Man 19.5 holes won/11 pts.

4th: Knight Tubs 19.5 holes won/10 pts.

5th: Diamond Realty 19 holes won/9 pts.

6th: Built Rite MFG. 17 holes won/8 pts.

7th: Benson’s Chevrolet 16.5 holes won/7 pts.

8th: Stryhas Builders 16.5 holes won/6 pts.

9th: Green Mountain Appraisals 16.5 holes won/5 pts.

10th: UBS of Rutland 10.5 holes won/4 pts.

Season standings:

1st, tie: Knight Tubs and Engel & Voelkers Realty 35 pts.

3rd: Honey Dew Man 24 pts.

4th, tie: M&M Excavating and Diamond Realty 20 pts.

6th, tie: Bensons Chevrolet and Stryhas Builders 15 pts.

8th: Built Rite MFG. 14 pts.
