May 23 and 24 at 10 a.m. — RUTLAND — The ARC Rutland Area supported AKtion Club of Rutland County, a Kiwanis family member, is holding a food drive on Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Walmart. The AKtion Club has just donated over $300 of pet food to local food shelf organizations to help folks feed their pets. That service project is done in the honor of a past member who loved animals.
All food collected at this drive will be given to local food shelves. These projects offer the club members an opportunity to feel what it is like to give.
ARC Rutland Area is an organization that advocates for the rights of citizens with Developmental Disabilities and their families to be regarded as valued citizens with the same entitlements as non-disabled individual.
