Monday, May 18 at 7 p.m. — RUTLAND — On Monday, May 18, Vermont Orthopedic Clinic and Summit Futbol Club present two-time World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Kristine Lilly on stage at the Paramount Theatre at 30 Center Street in Rutland. Kristine had over 350 appearances for the U.S. team and 130 goals and 105 assists. This free event will start at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Athletes of all ages and their parents are welcome to attend.
Ms. Lilly will talk about her early days as a youth player as well as her collegiate and professional career along with video highlights. There will also be a question-and-answer period with the audience towards the end of the night.
“This is a great way to build up the excitement for the 2015 Woman’s World Cup starting in June. Based on the positive feedback and enthusiasm we had during the Men’s World Cup, we are more than happy to once again broadcast World Cup soccer on the big screen,” says Paramount Theatre’s Programming Director Eric Mallette.
