Building tall towers and enjoying sweet treats were among the activities enjoyed most by area children at Wonderfeet’s open house celebration this past Saturday. The new location features expanded space and new exhibits that foster creativity and engineering.
Open house weekend followed by Pig Roast benefit, May 5
RUTLAND — Friday, April 24, the ribbon was officially cut at the Wonderfeet Kids Museum new location at 11 Center Street. The following day, the museum held an open house to showcase its expanded space, new exhibits, extended hours, and new programming including the Imagination Challenge and a robotics summer camp.
Museum Director Myra Peffer said, “Opening the doors in the new space has been amazing! Local families are coming weekly and we are reaching beyond Rutland to communities all around Vermont. The number of visitors has far exceeded our expectations.”
Next, supporters can look forward the third annual Pig Roast, Tuesday, May 5, from 4-8 p.m. on Wales Street. $10 entry includes food. All proceeds will benefit the Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum.
