Friday, May 1 at 7 p.m. — TINMOUTH — On Friday, May 1, Cindy Kallet and Grey Larson will be at the old Firehouse in Tinmouth. Kallet and Larson are each well-known and loved for their decades of music making. Kallet is a superb singer, guitarist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Larson is one of America’s finest players of the Irish flute and tin whistle, as well as an accomplished singer and concertina, fiddle, piano and harmonium player. As composers each contributes to contemporary folk and world music; together, they weave songs and tunes of vibrant color and rich texture.
The Old Firehouse is at Mountain View Road and Vt. 140 in downtown Tinmouth. Doors will open at 7 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $10, 90 percent of which goes to the performers. Home made desserts, coffee and tea will be available; donations for them will help support community activities.
