Saturday, May 2 at 8 a.m. — PROCTOR — In Proctor, the Green Up Day Committee will be distributing Green Up trash bags at the Library from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Bags will also be available at the Town Office for anyone that wants to get an earlier start. The Highway Department will pick up roadside bags between 4-6 p.m.
The Proctor Transfer Station on Deere Road will be open from 12-5 p.m. for the disposal of brush, yard wastes and trash by Proctor residents (proof of residency required) at no charge. Appliances, white goods or tires will not be accepted.
The Rutland County Solid Waste District will be collecting household hazardous waste at the Transfer Station from 12-3 p.m.
