The “create” space at Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum uniquely displays the artwork of visiting children.
April 24-25 — RUTLAND — Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum is celebrating its grand opening the last weekend in April at its new location, 11 Center Street in Rutland, Vermont. Events will include a ribbon cutting celebration on Friday, April 24 at 5 p.m. and an open house on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with free admission. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to the new space featuring new exhibits Wonderfeet has extended hours open to the public, onsite and outreach programming including the Imagination Challenge and a robotics summer camp for ages 9 to 12 as well as partnerships with many community programs, businesses and educational institutions.
Museum director Myra Peffer said, “Opening the doors in the new space has been amazing! Local families are coming weekly and we are reaching beyond Rutland to communities all around Vermont. The number of visitors has far exceeded our expectations.”
Wonderfeet’s new hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Admission to the museum is $5 per person, $4 per person for seniors age 65+, $2 per person with a valid EBT card and ID, and no charge for members and children under 12 months. Yearly memberships are available for purchase at the museum.
Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum encourages children to appreciate their role in local and global communities by creating a dynamic environment which fosters curiosity, inspires exploration and engages the imagination through play.
