Learn to take photos like this of birds in the wild in VINS class.
Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m. — The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) will be running a photography workshop on Sunday, April 26, from 1-3 p.m. “Lens on the Wild: Bird Photography Workshop” will teach participants the skills of bird photography using live birds at VINS.
Join local photojournalist Rob Strong for an exclusive portrait session with some of Vermont’s most stunning models — the hawks, owls, and other birds at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. Designed for the adult intermediate-level photographer, “Lens on the Wild: Bird Photography Workshop” will cover essential techniques to improve your digital or film photography skills. The class will enjoy a rare up-close photo shoot with live birds. There will be a slide show in the Classroom on improving techniques, followed by a photo session with four to five different birds. Participants should bring a camera and plenty of storage — digital or film. The cost for the workshop is $40 for the general public and $36 for VINS members. Pre-registration is required by April 24, by visiting www.vinsweb.org or calling 802-359-5000, ext 223.
