Chaffee’s Annual Student Art Exhibit displays the creativity of students from 22 regional schools, from all grades.
Friday, April 24 at 4 p.m. — RUTLAND — The Chaffee announces the opening of the 2015 Annual Student Art Exhibit entitled “Love of Imagination.” This exhibit highlights the work of over 300 students in preschool through twelfth grade from 22 regional schools. From a high schooler’s self portrait as an avatar to a life size polar bear family created in partnership between sixth graders and their younger preschool and kindergarten peers, the diverse work exemplifies our youth’s creativity, innovation, and imagination.
An artists reception will be held Friday, April 24, 4-7pm at the Chaffee Art Center, 16 South Main Street, Rutland. Snacks and beverages will be served and will feature live entertainment, door prizes, art activities in the art education classrooms, and raffle to win a free week at one of Chaffee’s art summer camps.
