MAX CREEK
Saturday, April 18 at 12 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Enjoy the warm days and soft bumps in Killington with on-snow demos and live music during Dazed and Defrosted on Saturday, April 18 from 12-6 p.m. at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars at K-1 Base Area. The event is part of Killington’s Nor’Beaster spring celebration.
Joey Leone Trio kick-starts the day from 12-12:45 p.m. with a show band that spans classic rock, funk, r&b, and funkified jazz. Killington local favorite Wobbly apres ski band, Tony Lee Thomas Band follows, from 1:15-2 p.m. Soul Tsunami brings a tidal wave of funk to the mountain from 2:30-4 p.m., with members of Kung Fu and Dickey Betts Band joining.
Max Creek ends the day with a long set, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Legendary, contemporary, ever-evolving: This is Max Creek. For over 40 years, Creek has been blowing minds with their unmistakable blend of Americana, country, rock, calypso and jazz. Over 200 songs in the current catalog guarantee different shows with different songs every night. Max Creek was the first “jam band” before such a term existed. Billy Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead and Mike Gordon of Phish are among Creek’s longtime fans. Come see them for yourself.
