Sunday, March 29 at 5 p.m. — KILLINGTON — March is Brain Injury Awareness month and on the last Sunday, March 29, Killington Yoga and the LoveYourBrain Foundation are offering a donation based yoga class during happy hour yoga from 5-6 p.m. at Base Camp Outfitters.
The LoveYourBrain Foundation is working to provide access to yoga and meditation to traumatic brain injury survivors. Yoga studios across the country are hoping to raise $20,000 to support the program. Recently, LoveYourBrain and researchers from Dartmouth College evaluated the impact of a six-week yoga and meditation program involving 25 traumatic brain injury survivors and it was an overwhelming success.
Come and help make yoga and meditation affordable and/or free to our friends who need it. Suggested donation is $20. LoveYourBrain is non-profit organization that is working to connect, educate and empower people to live a brain healthy lifestyle. Through yoga, meditation and mindfulness programs, LoveYourBrain is improving lives, creating community and optimizing health for everyone they reach.
Base Camp Outfitters is located at the bottom of Killington Road, on Route 4, Killington. For more info, call 802-422-4500 or visit loveyourbrain.org.
